Aisling’s Hair Studio, Skibbereen

Friendly and relaxed, elegant and stylish are appropriate descriptions for Aisling’s Hair Studio which opened its doors for business in Market Street, Skibbereen on 8th September last. The new hair studio is owned and run by Aisling Lynch a native of Bantry but who is well known in West Cork. The celebrations for the official opening over the Halloween period was extremely well attended with visitors from all walks of life congratulating and wishing Ashling well in her new venture. The salon was officially opened by local GAA footballers Cork Captain Graham Canty and player Conor McCarthy.
The newly furbished salon is elegant and tasteful with comfort in mind. There is a feeling of space and cleanliness to the studio which is designed for the relaxation and privacy of the customer. The studio is fitted out in such a manner that the customer cannot be overlooked while having their hair done. The studio is warm and enhanced by the mellow marble flooring and rich black leather furnishings. Aisling’s is all on one level so completely accessible and although near to the town’s main trading areas there is ample free car parking, which is most convenient now the winter weather is here.
The pricing at Aisling’s Hair Studio is highly competitive. As a unisex salon men’s haircuts are €10, while ladies’ styling with a wash and blow dry are from €20, wash, cut and blow dry are from €30. During November there is €10 off every colour treatment – a good reason to call to Aisling’s. The salon specialises in up-styling, especially for weddings and debs. Aisling offers competitive prices for wedding parties and is always on hand to give advice on colouring and styling to ensure that the customers look their best.
Aisling is assisted in her hair studio by Una Collins who is in her 4th year of hairdressing. Aisling herself qualified in hairdressing at Clonakilty Community College and for the past couple of years worked in Jessie’s in Ilen Street, Skibbereen. It was always an ambition of Aisling to open her own salon and run the business herself. Aisling uses Wella products in her studio as these are a brand leader in colour and hair dressing products. Aisling and Una regularly attend Wella’s Dublin Studio to keep up with the modern trends of cutting, styling and colour techniques.
Aisling’s Hair Studio is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am until 6.00pm and on Saturdays from 9.00am until 5.30pm. Late appointments can be made by arrangement on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Early appointments may also be made by appointment. Student and Senior Citizen discounts are also offered.
