Neutrogena Hand Cream is especially formulated from dry and chapped hands.  A glycerine based hand cream that has its origins from Norwegian fishermen who used  creams with glycerine to help preserve their hands, even in the harshest of conditions.  The cream is available in 2 oz tube. Priced at €6.01 and available in original or fragrance free.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is formulated to soften hands, minimises age spots and help to strengthen nails.  The active ingredients of sesame oil extract, shea butter, Japanese Mulberry and Condurango bark extract make an impressive line up. Certainly the soft fragrance is very pleasing and the cream is easily absorbed into the skin.  Priced at €19.50 for 100ml

Lavera Basis Hand Cream is a natural skin care product and part of the expanding Lavera body care range.  Containing an assortment of oils such a jojoba, soybean, shea butter and essential oils, this very creamy hand cream is ideal for dry hands.  The addition of marigold and chamomile extracts enhances the healing properties of the natural oils. Burt’s Bee is another of the ever growing array of natural skin care products.  An interesting company as far as packaging is concerned, but despite the outer covering the contents are serious good. Burt’s Bee clearly believe that there is a need for soft, elegant hands, as they offer eight hand creams to choose from.  We have chosen Beeswax and Banana  made with aloe vera, vitamin E and of course beeswax, just to name some of the natural ingredients.  For those of you who are curious about the banana – you’ll have to try it to enjoy it.  Priced at €11.05 for 2oz

Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Therapy Cream.  Again this is company that believes in providing a range of hand creams for all types of dry skin concerns.  We chose the award winning La Source hand cream.  The ingredients also contain jojoba oil, shea butter, with the addition of algae extract to give that extra healing property. A 60 second recovery treatment for hands, the cream is priced at €20.00 for 100gms

Atrixo Enriched Moisturising Cream.  This hand cream has been around for a long time as Atrixo specialise in various forms of hand creams. Containing chamomile and pro-vitamin B5, hands are left soft and smooth.  The makers say that the cream balances the pH of the skin and has no artificial colourants.
